We saw a little bit of that in season 1, which was generally made up of relatively short arcs strung together (Sandman imprisoned, the Dream Vortex, etc.), so I wonder if the plan could be to sprinkle in extras throughout the year.

Sandman is a unique show in that it does feature many standalone stories that do not have to necessarily be connected to a larger narrative. I suppose a third option is that those are slotted in there instead. Regardless, it’s pretty unusual, and if Netfli x is hiding secret Sandman episodes already, I would have to assume that bodes well for season 2. A Sandman Christmas special, or something like that. Or these are secret episodes that Netflix is planning to air as standalones at a later date. These stories were shot, or partially shot, and ultimately cut from season 1. There is one clip from Dream of A Thousand Cats, and another from Calliope, two Sandman stories that were not a part of season 1, yet clearly have been filmed, in order for them to show up here.

Something curious has come up, where on Netflix’s own “ I Like to Watch,” where two drag queens, Trixe and Katya, watch and comment on Netflix shows, they actually showed clips from two episodes of The Sandman that.never aired. Could Sandman itself take back the top spot with enough word of mouth? So that’s the new champion of the list, and now we wait to see how long it takes something else to boot Never Have I Ever Out of there. However, I’d really like if Netflix gave it say, one more season to fully wrap things up rather than kill it on a cliffhanger after three seasons (I haven’t finished it yet, but I’ll assume there is some sort of cliffhanger). I am also wondering about the fate of Locke and Key, a show that keeps coming back but never seems like it’s performing all that great, both on the list, but also among critics and fans, and season 3 has seen its numbers dip.
